Accessibility Statement
roba Baumann GmbH wants everyone to be able to shop easily in our online shop. In accordance with Section 14 and Annex 3 of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG), this statement explains how accessible our shop is.
Scope
This statement applies to the online shop at rubakids.com in all language versions. This includes product pages, search, shopping cart, customer account and the checkout process.
Our service
In our online shop you can buy baby furniture, children's furniture, textiles, toys and accessories from the roba brand. This is how an order works:
- Find products via the main menu or the search.
- The product page shows the description, images, dimensions, price and delivery time. Select a colour or version there if applicable.
- Add the product to the cart. The cart opens at the side of the page.
- Under “Checkout” you enter your delivery address and payment method. Currently available: [PayPal, credit card, …].
- Before submitting, you see an overview with the total price and shipping costs. After ordering, you receive a confirmation by email.
Within Germany we usually deliver within 2 to 4 working days, free of shipping costs from a goods value of 25 euros. You may withdraw from your contract within 14 days. Details can be found in our terms and conditions, the shipping information and the cancellation policy.
How we meet the requirements
Our shop follows the European standard EN 301 549 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Among other things, we have implemented the following:
- The language of each page is defined for assistive technologies such as screen readers.
- A skip link leads directly to the main content.
- You can zoom the page in your browser up to 200%; zooming is not blocked.
- Product images have text alternatives.
- Buttons, labels and input fields have sufficient colour contrast.
- Keyboard focus is visible on all controls.
- If you enable “reduce motion” in your operating system, animations are reduced.
- The checkout runs on Shopify's checkout, which according to the provider is designed to be accessible.
Accessibility status
Our shop is partially accessible. We are aware of the following barriers:
- Infographics on product pages contain dimensions and features that are not yet fully described in text. The most important information can be found in the product description.
- Some labels are not yet translated into every language, for example “Quick View” in the German version.
- The high chair configurator cannot yet be fully operated with a keyboard and screen reader.
- Some product videos do not have subtitles.
- We are still testing operation with screen readers and the customer account login.
We are working to remove these barriers by [target date]. Until then, we are happy to advise you by phone or email and [also accept orders this way].
